Recipe Description

You have a sweet tooth? This is for you, very sweet but delicious at the same time. Mom would get request from people to make her butterscotch pie. She fixed it for holidays and family reunions. Always a big hit. I am not much of a pie maker but I was impressed how well this turned out. Hope you enjoy it.

Recipe Directions

Bake Pie shells and let cool.

Combine brown sugar, water, soda, vanilla and butter. Bring to full boil.

Blend remaining ingredients.

Slowly add to hot mixture, stirring as you go, so you don't scramble the eggs.

Boil for 1 minute.

Pour into baked pie crust.

I pour mine through a small strainer, just to make sure no lumps go into the pie.
