- 1 box Spice Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup canola/vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup apples, finely diced (I left the peel on)
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Recipe Description
These soft-baked cookies are filled with cinnamon spice, baked apples, and are filled with a rich, cinnamon cream cheese frosting. They begin with a cake mix, which makes these cookies incredibly soft and incredibly easy to put together! Once the cookies have baked and cooled, homemade cream cheese frosting is piped onto them, making a decadent fall dessert!
