Recipe Description
I don’t know about you, but I grew up with my mom always having homemade cookies in the house. It was a special treat I never really appreciated until I was older and realized the effort that went into always keeping those around. As my kids have gotten a bit older, I have tried so many different versions of cookies, and I too, try to keep some in the house on a consistent basis. Not only are they good for a “dessert” if you finish all your dinner, but they are also great for when the kids have friends over and they all come into the kitchen looking for something yummy.
In my search to make an amazing chocolate chip cookie, that was not a Tollhouse cookie, I came across this recipe. Now, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Tollhouse cookies, but I wanted to try something a little different. I found this recipe, read all 200+ comments and suggestions on it, and made all noted changes. Not only were these cookies chewy in the middle, but they had a slight crisp to the edges, which is just how I prefer my cookies. I added extra chocolate chips because come on, you can never have too many of those, right? My kids definitely enjoyed these, and even all my hubby’s coworkers too, since I sent him to work with 2 dozen of them!!
