Ingredients
- 1 - 397 g package of Puff Pastry, thawed My package contains two squares that need rolled out.
- Flour for rolling
- ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
- ⅛ vanilla beans scraped or a dash of vanilla extract
- ½ cup cherry pie filling
- 1 egg and a splash of water
- Sugar for dusting, optional
Recipe Description
Cherry Cheesecake Turnovers have a light and fluffy cheesecake texture underneath the cherries. Vanilla extract can be used if you don’t have a bean lying around. I had some beans left over from the boozy cherries. If you’re wondering what to do with the remaining cream cheese and pie filling, stay tuned until next week.
