Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream, out of fridge for at least one hour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- TOPPING:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Recipe Description
Growing up my Mom used to make everything from scratch! She and my father had a vegetable garden out back and she introduced fresh veggies to many of our neighbors who never had them before! I know, hard to believe isn’t it?! From a very early age I was in the kitchen with my Mom baking every day. My father had a huge sweet, as do I, and no matter what we had for dinner he always wanted dessert!
This recipe was one of his favorites. Not too sweet…just enough to satisfy that craving!
