- 4 bosc pears,peeled and pitted
- 1 cup dessert wine, Mocato
- 1/2 up pumpkin sparkling cider
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cinnamon stick, cut in half
- 1 tsp raw honey
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- frozen yogurt,optional
Recipe Description
Fresh bosc pears poached in white wine and pumpkin sparkling cider with a cinnamon stick, allspice, nutmeg and honey. A delicious and easy to prepare dessert that is perfect for special occasions and easy enough for a weeknight dessert! Can be prepared ahead of time and reheat the white wine syrup right before serving. Can top with some vanilla frozen yogurt or low-fat whip cream.
