- 2 – 2 1/4 cups fresh strawberries
- 2 T. water
- 1 T. cornstarch
- 3 – 3 1/2 T. sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 (8 ounce) brick cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 T. vanilla
- 6 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. baking powder
- 1 cup + 1 T. heavy whipping cream
Recipe Description
This pound cake is so yummy! It has a light, not-too-sweet strawberry sauce gently swirled throughout the creamy, smooth cake layers and a slice of it is the perfect mid-afternoon snack. Not too much to make you feel full before supper, but just enough to tide you over and fix that sweet tooth! It takes a little bit to put together, but it’s really so simple that how could you not make it?
