Sue’s Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 can tomato sauce (15.0 oz)
1 Cup Water
1 Can condensed tomato soup or tomato and rice soup
1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
3/4 Cup regular long – grain white rice
1 Head green cabbage
1/3 Cup Water
Directions
In large skillet, combine beef, onion, garlic and salt and pepper and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Return to heat. Add 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 cup water and 1/2 can of tomato soup and diced tomatoes. Mix well. Add rice. Stir to combine.
Take the core out of cabbage and chop into 4 wedges than chop cabbage into large chunks, I cut the wedges into thirds and then the slices into thirds. If your going to be cooking on low for a longer time I would make the chunks larger.
Place half the meat and then half the cabbage in cooker. Top with remaining meat and then the cabbage. In a bowl, combine the remaining tomato soup and tomato sauce and 1/3 cup water. Mix well. Pour over top of cabbage.
Cook on low 8-10 hours, or on high 4-6 hours. I cooked mine on low for 5 hours and it came out perfect.
