CARROT PUP-CAKES FOR YOUR DOG
Celebrate Your Pup's Special Day or as a Treat JUST BE-PAWS!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots(save 1/2 cup of carrots for the frosting)
3 eggs or
¾ cup applesauce (unsweetened)
1/3 cup of peanut butter
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup of homemade beef or chicken broth
1 ½ cups of Oat Flour and
1 cup brown rice flour
***You can use 2 ½ cups of Wheat Flour if your Dog is not allergic to Wheat***
Directions:
· Preheat oven to 350°
· Lightly spray muffin tin...or use baking cups in the tins
· In a large bowl or mixer, stir together the carrots, eggs and applesauce or peanut butter...
· In another bowl mix together the cinnamon, oats and flour...
· Then mix in the dry and wet ingredients.
· Stir in a cup of homemade broth
until well blended...
· Scoop mixture into muffin tin...
· Bake for 30 to 35 minutes...
· Cool completely on a wire rack then place in the fridge for 1/2 hour
before frosting and serving...
Frosting:
8 oz. low fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/2 cup of shredded carrots (Topping)
1 tbsp of peanut butter
