Recipe Description

My Aunt Flip would make this recipe and I have loved it for years.  My Mom started making it and it has quickly become the family favorite.  She makes 2 every holiday.  You can make this recipe with Cottage Cheese for a lighter version or with Cream Cheese.  It taste delicious either way.  You can make your pie crust but I usually just buy one.  Always good! Enjoy!

Recipe Directions

Defrost Pie Crust if using frozen Crust: If not, make pie crust: Set Aside:

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees

In Mixing Bowl: Add: Softened Cream Cheese or Cottage Cheese (can use either one) Sugar, Eggs, flour 2 tablespoons of melted butter, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Mix together for about 2 minutes or until smooth.

Pour in pie shell.  Put foil around the pie edges to keep it from burning. On top of pie, put 4 pats of butter hard or melted and pour on top and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mix.

Bake at 400 for 15 minutes: then change heat to 350 and bake for 45 more minutes.  It will be puffed up and will fall after.  Delicious.
