Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks (use extra-large eggs)
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
- 8-ounces mascarpone cheese, room temperature
- 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup very strong brewed coffee or espresso
- 4 tablespoons sweet Marsala wine
- 20 - 24 Savoiardi or Ladyfinger biscuits
- Cocoa powder or grated chocolate for the top
Recipe Description
Tiramisu is my absolute favorite dessert and I am rather picky about it. It took me a while to perfect it, but I think that this is as close as you are going to get to an authentic tiramisu recipe. I used Marsala wine, but if you don’t have that, you could substitute in some rum or coffee-flavored liquor!
