- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 14 oz can condensed milk
- 1 13 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup kahlua
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Recipe Description
This rich, creamy flan takes a traditional flan recipe and gives it the coffee flavor Kahlua fans love. You’ll need a dish about the size of a 9-inch pie pan or cake dish, and another larger dish to create a double boiler in the oven. I prefer to use glass, but you can use what you have on hand. In the US, flan may also be called creme caramel, and can be found using different types of milk or even cream cheese.
