Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 2¼ cups flour
- 5 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- ¾ tsp. salt
- ¾ cup cold butter, sliced
- 3 egg yolks
- 4½ tsp lemon juice
- FILLING:
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch, divided
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup water
- 2 Tbsp. + 1½ tsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 pears, peeled and chopped
Recipe Description
All of my kids love pears and while we eat them fresh all the time, I haven’t tried using them in very many recipes. I have been wanting to try this recipe for months and I finally did it – the results are amazing and the whole pan was gone within a couple of hours. You can eat this at room temperature, but it is so much better to eat this warm. If you really want to indulge, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
