This Madeira Cake may seem plain but it’s so good that it doesn’t need any extra flavouring added to it. The cake has a lovely crisp outer and a deliciously soft spongey interior. I love the way that it has the traditional dome and crack running the lengths of the cake. This cake is perfect with a cup of tea or coffee.
