A new twist on a traditional cake! This beautiful Marble Cake with a fruity Twist of Orange is made from two different orange infused batters and has a lemon icing on top.

Marble cake is a traditional German cake which dates back to the 19th century. Traditionally it is made with vanilla and chocolate cake but in my recipe, the two batters are infused with orange juice and zest to give the marble cake a fruity modern twist.

The marble cake has its name from its appearance. The light and dark batters are filled in layers into the loaf pan and spirally mixed with a fork. You can change the proportion of the batters to have a darker or lighter cake.
