Ingredients
- 2 pounds of pork, cut into medium sized cub
- 6 guajillo chiles, cleaned and strained like in the Barbacoa tacos recipe.
- 1 Can of hominy
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 tomato
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/4 onion
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 2 bay leaves
- Chopped radish
- lime
- chopped lettuce
- homemade tortilla chips
- chopped cilantro
- chopped onion
Recipe Description
Pozole is a traditional Mexican soup that is served at many major events. It includes tender pork, tasty hominy, and a delicious blend of spices. It usually comes topped with homemade tortilla chips, chopped beets, and lettuce. Every time that I have made this it has been a hit and is usually one of the first things to go.
