Ingredients
- ½ cup softened butter
- ½ cup shortening (I used butter flavored Crisco)
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 TBSP vanilla
- 2¾ cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- cinnamon-sugar mixture (1/2 cup sugar + 2 TBSP cinnamon)
- 2 20-oz cans apple pie filling
- caramel sauce, for topping
Recipe Description
I combined two of our fall favorite desserts into this delicious cobbler recipe for my son’s birthday. It was a huge hit- I can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner!
