Custard is one of those desserts that hits the spot.  You have most of the ingredients on hand at all times.  This is an easy dessert to make in a few minutes that satisfies everyones sweet tooth.  It is great for the holidays or just for a great dessert after your regualr daily meal.  Try this great recipe and you will see how tasty it is.

Recipe Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Mixing condensed milk and hot water in  glass or metal bowl.
In o bowl, whisking eggs until they are light in color & fluffy to touch. Pour  the hot milk mixture into eggs until they have softened, then mix them well. Adding vanilla and salt. Pour into bowls and place on a high-sided baking tray. Or using 2-quart baking dish instead.
Placing tray in oven and fill half an inch water. Baking for 1 h or to a knife comes out clean in center. If using  larger baking dish, bake for 1 h & 40 mn.
Leave the pastry cream to cool for an hour. Sprinkling with nutmeg and serve hot or chilled to serving chilled.
