Ingredients
- Any 8" layer cake
- ½ cup (4 oz) egg whites*
- 1 cup (8oz) granulated sugar
- 1½ cups (12oz) butter (room temperature, cubed)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 5-6 cups mixed berries (sliced)
- 2 cups mixed berries (whole)
Recipe Description
Don’t let this cake fool you, it’s actually really easy to make! All you need is any kind of cake, frosting of your choice, and loads of fresh berries! I used a modified box mix for the cake layer and a swiss meringue buttercream, but you could easily just use a standard American buttercream. Pick your berries and layer it up!
