- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 11 garlic cloves roughly chopped
- 1/2 onion roughly chopped
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 11 basil leaves
- 6 tablespoons oregano leaves
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian Herbs season blend
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 cup dry white wine (divided)
- salt
- pepper
Recipe Description
Semi- Homemade Marinara Sauce Infused with Wine is simpler than it sounds. Full of fresh Italian herbs, and garlic, with a touch of wine to give the sauce a smooth flavor, and balance out the acidity from the tomatoes. Easy to make! All of the ingredients are put into the pan to cook and blended together to give you a smooth sauce consistency (if that is your preference). Or you can leave the sauce “chunky”.
