Recipe Description

My youngest son LOVES watermelon. Every time we head to the store, he always begs me to buy a watermelon. I used to cut wedges out of it for him to eat, but quickly realized he either dropped it because it was “too big” (his reasoning, haha), or he would have watermelon juice all over his face from the wedge being big and him putting his whole mouth into it (quite funny to watch).

Well, one afternoon, my hubby decided to cut it differently and it ended up being perfect. My hubby cut it into “sticks” and so my son was able to hold it easily, no mess, and it was great for the whole family to enjoy. Plus, it cut more sticks then wedges, so we were able to bring it out and share with all the neighborhood kids.

This method is simple and definitely a good way to serve watermelon for company, picnics, parties, or for your family meals!!

Enjoy!
