Idiyappam is a popular and speciality of South Indian cuisine. Idiyappam is made of rice flour, salt and water. It served as the main course for breakfast or dinner and as well as snacks also it served with coconut chutney and sambar. It’s one of the best Cooking Recipe in India and now it’s spreading its taste all around the world.

Recipe Directions

Boil water with salt and oil.
Add water to rice flour, mix well and knead into soft dough.
Grease palms while doing so. Keep water for boiling in steamer.
Grease banana leaves/ idli plates with oil.
Using Idiyappam press/mold, shape portions of dough into noodles over them.
Sprinkle coconut over each.
Steam on medium-low flame for 8 minutes or till cooked.
