Recipe Description

Last night, I decided to look through Pinterest in hopes of making a spooky snack to bring to a Halloween play date. I had already made my candy corn pretzel kisses, so I wanted something fun, but simple. When I came across these worms, I knew it was a must try. Since I already had a box of black raspberry jello in the house, all I needed to get was the straws and gelatin. I ran to the store, came home to make these, and they were ready for chilling in no time. This morning before bringing the kids to the bus stop, I took these out of the fridge and removed them from the straws. My kids took one look at them and ran screaming down the hall, ha-ha. After I explained about 10,000 times that they were NOT real, just jello, my oldest kiddo was finally willing to try one. After my other two kids saw the oldest eating one, they too tried them. They talked about how their mom was “so cool” at the bus stop, and then the kids at the Halloween play date enjoyed them too. All in all, these were the perfect spooky treat to make. If you are feeling extra creative, crush up some Oreo’s and serve these worms on top to make it look like dirt and worms, :)

Enjoy and have a spooky Halloween!!!
