- 2 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1/4 cup aquafaba (the liquid from a tin of chickpeas)
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 - 2 tablespoons sugar (see recipe note)
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla bean powder or 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (liquid measure)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- tiny pinch of salt
