This soy free teriyaki chicken is a hearty take on tradition take out without the soy. Featuring Trader Joe’s Coconut Aminos, this is a meal anyone will love!

This teriyaki chicken is super easy to make, and pretty quick because the slowcooker is doing all the work for you (round of applause for slowcookers everywhere). The hardest part of this dish is deciding what you want to serve with your no soy teriyaki chicken. You can serve it atop a bed of cauliflower rice, with steamed veggies like broccoli or carrots, or with roasted bok choy.

Recipe Directions

  1. Start out by marinating the chicken in a large bag with the coconut aminos. Make sure the chicken breasts are fully coated, and let marinate for an hour or so. Pre heat the over to 445. Place the chicken in an oven safe pan and cook for 45 to 50 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 or above.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the bone broth and coconut aminos on low heat.
  3. Mix together the arrowroot powder and water and whisk thoroughly for a few minutes.
  4. Slowly mix the arrowroot powder mixture in with the bone broth and coconut aminos. If it gets too sticky, continue stirring on medium heat to thin it out.
  5. Mix in the chicken until completely coated.
  6. Serve over a bed of cauliflower rice or with mixed veggies.
